CUFI Provides Divine Hope in Christ in the Fight Against Anti-Semitism

    -

Pastor John Hagee sowed seeds of faith on a trip to the Western Wall in Jerusalem that gave birth into a growing ministry that unified America’s Christian Zionists in this country.

Christians United For Israel, an American Christian nonprofit that supports Israel, gave birth as a ministry in 2006.  It was formed from divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God upon Hagee on ways that Christians in America can combat against anti-semitism.

According to CUFI’s website, CUFI is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States of America and consists of more than 9 million members who speak and defend for Israel and the Jewish people against anti-semitism.

“After Israel’s daring raid on Iraq’s nuclear reactor in 1981, and the ensuing world condemnation, Pastor Hagee decided he would host a Night to Honor Israel,” co-excutive director of CUFI, Shari Dollinger told Atlanta Christian Voice. “What was supposed to be a onetime event turned into a growing movement, and in 2006, Christians United for Israel was born as 400 of the nation’s top Christian leaders gathered in San Antonio to hear Pastor Hagee declare his intention to create a national, grassroots pro-Israel movement that would unite America’s Christian Zionists. I was in the room that day, and when all 400 leaders stood up and made clear that they would be with Pastor Hagee in this divine endeavor, I knew I was witnessing a turning point in history.”

“I was in the room that day, and when all 400 leaders stood up and made clear that they would be with Pastor Hagee in this divine endeavor, I knew I was witnessing a turning point in history,” co-excutive director of CUFI, Shari Dollinger told Atlanta Christian Voice.

The mission and vision of CUFI is simple: to educate and empower millions of Americans to speak and act with one voice in defense of Israel and the Jewish people as well as to maximize its impact in communities, the media, on campus and in America’s capital. CUFI is committed to confronting indifference and combating anti-Semitism in all its forms wherever it may be found, per the CUFI website.

CUFI has partnered with many nonprofits and organizations in the fight against anti-semitism, including a most recent partnership with Hadassah, a large Jewish women’s group, with whom CUFI worked side-by-side to ensure passage of the Never Again Education Act.

CUFI refers to the Bible in order to further the mission and vision of the organization.

“As Pastor Hagee says, the Bible is a Zionist document,” Dollinger told Atlanta Christian Voice. “Our members are motivated by the promises of Genesis 12:3, the mandate of Psalm 122:6, and the unequivocal message of Isaiah 62:1, and much more.”

“ As Pastor Hagee says, the Bible is a Zionist document,” Dollinger told Atlanta Christian Voice.

One of the main goals of CUFI is to teach Christians on anti-semitism as well as anti-semites.

We seek to educate Christians about the dangers of anti-Semitic replacement theology and the consequences of anti-Jewish hatred,” Dollinger told Atlanta Christian Voice.

Even during the Coronavirus pandemic, CUFI continues to fight against anti-semitism and the nonprofit’s efforts are increasing this great movement of God in America.

“As an organization that prior to COVID-19 held an average of 50 events per month across the country, we had to dramatically shift our efforts as a result of the pandemic,” Dollinger told Atlanta Christian Voice. “At no point did we even consider allowing the Coronavirus to deter us from our mission. We hold events regularly on Zoom and other online platforms, and even held our annual Summit entirely online this year. That event featured the President Reuven Rivlin, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Alternate Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Benny Gantz, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Ambassadors David Friedman, Ron Dermer, and Nikki Haley, Senators Marsha Blackburn, Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, James Lankford, Jacky Rosen, Marco Rubio and Tim Scott, and Representative Dan Crenshaw, among many others.

CUFI welcomes all to partake in the fight against anti-semitism.

“I would simply share with them the message of the great German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who, before his murder at the hands of the Nazis, said, ‘Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act,’” Dollinger told Atanta Christian Voice.
